The Euro-Libyan Trade Center (ELTC) is proud to support the Renewable Energy International Exhibition which will take place in Misrata, Libya in October 2022. The exhibition will provide a unique opportunity for Libyan and international companies to showcase their latest renewable energy technologies, products and services. This event is important for the development of renewable energy in Libya and will help to create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future for all Libyans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Libyan government is committed to increasing the share of renewables in the country\u2019s energy mix. The country has significant potential for solar, wind and geothermal energy. The government has set a target of generating 10% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2025<\/a>. This will require an investment of around $30 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Libyan renewable energy market offers significant opportunities for investors. The country has a large land area with high solar insolation, strong winds and good geothermal resources. There is strong political support for the development of renewables, and a number of key policies and regulations have been put in place to encourage investment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are a number of challenges that need to be addressed in order to develop the renewable energy market in Libya. These include the lack of a clear regulatory framework, the need for capacity building and training, and the lack of financing.
